For the first time ever, a film camera ventures into the incense filled ceremonies and quiet romance of the
New Camaldoli Hermitage. Because of it's secluded beauty along the Pacific Coast, the monastery has
attracted writers, artists and spiritual teachers like Jack Kerouac, Henry Miller, Pico Iyer, David Steindl-Rast
and Ansel Adams. Through intimate narration with Brother Michael Fish and music by Cyprian Consiglio, the
rhythms and rituals of an ancient Italian order are revealed in this 12 minute documentary film.
